Prof. Emily Anderson Assumes Directorship of the Archaeological Museum

Emily Anderson in the Archaeological Museum.

On July 1, Emily Anderson assumed the directorship of the JHU Archaeological Museum.  This is a particularly exciting time for the museum, as it officially reopened its doors on October 13 after being closed for renovations and the installation of extensive new exhibits. The museum houses more than 15,000 objects that help students and faculty connect with Greek, Roman, Egyptian, ancient American, and Eastern Mediterranean pasts. Although these opportunities are deeply meaningful for those studying the ancient world, Dr. Anderson notes that engaging with ancient objects can be a significant experience for all students, regardless of their major.
