Her MA thesis is entitled “Material Sirens: A Study of Archaic Plastics.” William–also a student in the Classics BA/MA program–is in his fifth year and completing his MA thesis, “The Fortress of Ignorance: An Abridged Translation of Jakob Balde’s Expeditio Polemico-Poetica, Book I.”
Each year the Department of Classics awards the $500 prize to the undergraduate major or minor in classics whose work in Greek studies has been outstanding. This cash prize was established in 2007 by a gift from Peter Davos ’00 and is named in honor of his aunt.
