Virankha Ann Peter, a sophomore studying Classics, Cognitive Science, and Philosophy here at JHU, will publish an essay in the upcoming edition of Yale’s undergraduate classics journal, The Helicon. Virankha wrote her essay, ‘Cosmic Minds, Earthly Bodies: Seneca’s Dualism and the Use of Bodily Analogies in the Natural Questions’, for Dr. Karen ní Mheallaigh’s course on Ancient Cosmology. In it she explores the intersection of the three disciplines she is studying to think about how Seneca’s cosmic viewpoint exercise interacts with his philosophy of the mind and body, and his ethical agenda.
Congratulations, Virankha!
