Elena Echavarria Gil is 2025 Davos Prize Winner!

Elena receiving her the Davos Prize

Among the many department achievements recognized at the Classics’ end-of-year party, it was a pleasure to celebrate this year’s Evangelia Davos Prize winner, Elena Echavarria Gil.

The Davos Prize is given each year to the undergraduate major or minor in Classics whose work in Greek studies has been outstanding. This cash prize was established in 2007 by a gift from Peter Davos ’00, and is named in honor of his aunt.

Professor Emily Anderson awarded Elena her prize in the Gilman Atrium during the party.

Congratulations, Elena!
