Professor Shane Butler, who is currently on sabbatical, has received a prestigious appointment as the Francesco De Dombrowski Visiting Professor at Villa I Tatti (the Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies in Florence), Oct-Dec 2025. He will spend this time in Italy working on a project titled Renaissance Atmospheres, from Poliziano to Symonds.
